We stayed at the Aria resorts in the isle of wight. Save your money and go to park Dean or somewhere up the road. Writing this review as none of the customer service team from Rookley have got back to me since we got home to resolve some sort of compensation. Everything else was fine (swimming pool, arcade etc) But for the amount I paid for the cottage I really am not happy. Cannot get hold of reception via the phone number they leave in your room, when we was trying to see if we could move cottage due to the noise in the evening. When we went to checkout there was no one there to discuss my complaints so we just left the key on the reception desk. On our last morning got woken up by people walking past shouting. As soon as we got there within 20 mins my feet where black. The floor throughout the cottage was disgusting. I understand this can’t be helped but please take your toddler for a stroll not let them cry for hours on end. Both evenings we couldn’t get to sleep due to next door (paper thin walls) had a toddler crying until early hours of the morning. Massive lump in the middle of our double bed which was so uncomfortable and the blinds are not black out so I was up at silly o clock. Some previous guest must have dropped a wine glass on the decking and it wasn’t cleared up properly as my son cut his foot. Hair on the shower floor and hair also in the basin. Toothpaste up the sides of the bathroom basin on the tiles. I’m a house cleaner myself and it wasn’t to my standards. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait a few hours and then once in the room it was not clean. This was meant to be our first time away as a family of 5 since covid.
